Questions, answered
Everything you need to know about Utably: your career, your data, and how it all works.
General
What is Utably?
Utably is a career platform that keeps your whole job search in one place. It combines Applications (job-application tracking, our lead feature), Documents (a CV and cover-letter editor), Career (the Career Compass for strengths, personality, and direction), and a Training Hub where you practise. The AI assistant Uta helps you across all of it. Utably is currently in beta.
How is Utably different from other career tools?
Most tools stop at the document. Utably connects your applications, documents, career direction, and interview practice in one workspace, with Uta tying them together. The focus is on staying organised across your whole search rather than just building a single CV.
Do I need design or technical skills to use Utably?
Not at all. You don't need to know design, AI, or even how to write a CV. You just need your story, and Utably helps you tell it. The platform is designed for everyone, regardless of technical background or career stage.
Can students and recent graduates use Utably?
Yes. Students and recent graduates can use the same tools as everyone else: track applications, build CVs and cover letters, explore their strengths and direction with the Career Compass, and practise in the Training Hub.
Can Utably help with career changes?
Yes. The Career Compass helps you understand your strengths and direction, the Documents editor helps you reframe your experience for a new field, and Uta can help you position yourself for the roles you're targeting.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
Utably is live in beta: you can register as a tester and we'll try to give you access as soon as possible. You can bring an existing CV to import, or start from scratch. Uta helps guide you as you set things up.
What's included in the free version?
The free plan lets you explore Utably: save up to 5 jobs and try your first trainings, with no credit card needed. A paid subscription unlocks higher limits, the full document editor, and Utably's AI features. You can see what each plan includes on our pricing page.
AI & Features
How does Uta, the AI assistant, work?
Uta is the built-in AI assistant. It helps you draft and improve documents, prepare for interviews, and stay on top of your applications, using your profile and the content you provide. AI suggestions are there to help you, but you stay in control and should always review the output before using it.
What is the Document Check?
The Document Check reviews your CV and cover letter and gives you feedback you can act on, for example on structure, clarity, and how well a document fits a role. It is a guidance tool to help you improve your documents, not an automated scoring or screening system.
Security & Privacy
Is my data secure and private?
We take privacy seriously and never sell your personal information. Utably is privacy-first and EU-hosted: your data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the EU and encrypted in transit. You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.
Plans & Pricing
What pricing plans do you offer?
We offer flexible subscription plans for different needs. Pricing is transparent, with no hidden fees and no long-term contract. You can cancel or change your plan anytime: cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, while an upgrade applies immediately. You'll find the current details on our pricing page.
International
Is Utably available in German and English?
Yes. Utably is fully bilingual: the website and the app are available in both German and English, and you can switch between them. You can write your documents in the language you need.
